Samarium Cobalt (Smco)magnet is one type of rare earth magnetic material.
Smco has a better magnetic strength than ceramic and alnico,and a better temperature resistance than neodymium magnet,can withstand temperature up to 350℃. 

Smco magnets are maindly divided into two main groups:Smco5 and Sm2Co17,we also call it Smco 1-5 and Smco 2-17.Smco magnet is brittle and prone to chipping and cracking,but with high corrosion resistance.

Due to high cost of material Samarium ,Smco magnet are generally used for applications where high temperature and corrosion resistance is critical.
